Reports: Diebold Heading Out of NC, Back to Ohio

GREEN, Ohio (News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – Newspaper reports have Diebold Nixdorf closing its assembly plant in Greensboro North Carolina early next year, paving the way for about 200 jobs to be moved to a new facility opening in North Canton.

The Green-based company plans to move the work to the proposed Orchard Avenue NE facility in the Hoover District.

The work involves final assembly of ATM machines and point-of-sale equipment.

Employees in Greensboro were given the news on Wednesday.
