“Rubber City Round Up” Ends with 63 Arrests in Akron Area

AKRON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Over 60 arrests were made in the Akron area during a five day, multi agency warrant initiative. What is now being called the “Rubber City Roundup”, took place last week from Monday the 16 through Friday the 20.
In total, the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task force arrested 63 fugitives who were wanted for violent crimes in the Akron area. They also seized 5 firearms: 3 rifles and 2 handguns. Task force divisions from the Canton and Cleveland areas assisted in the operation.
