(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Ohio House and Senate both have votes scheduled for Wednesday, with Senator Kirk Schuring thinking the state could have a final 2-year budget in place this week.

Schuring tells Canton’s Morning News that the House-Senate conference committee should release its report by mid-week, with the governor eager to sign the $69 billion plan.

He also believes a moratorium will be put in place on state distress commissions taking over academically-problematic schools.

The legislature missed the June 30th deadline to get the budget approved.
