CANTON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – In the wake of the shootings in Dayton and El Paso, there seems to be some progress in Columbus in changing Ohio’s gun laws.

State Senator Kirk Schuring joined Pam Cook on Canton’s Morning News earlier today to discuss the progress that is in action. The Senator says he is happy with the proposal put forth by Governor Mike Dewine last week.

Schuring expressed his confidence in DeWine, saying “I think this Governor has what it takes to get it done.”

Schuring also says he and the Senate President have already met with members to work to get Governor Dewine’s proposals implemented.
