CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Stark County Sheriff George Maier announced in a media release on Tuesday that he will run for the office again next year.
The release from his office cites strides in addiction recovery and his mental health priorities.
It points to the Stark Adult Recovery Program, where recidivism in the first year was just 16-percent.
He recently opened the Law Enforcement Training Center in Massillon to area police agencies.
Sheriff Maier first took office in 2013.
He was most recently reelected in 2020.
