Shot Fired at Police Results in Indictment
CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Two local men face seven-count attempted murder indictments including firearm and criminal gang activity specifications.
That, for allegedly shooting at Canton police officers in an incident along 12th Street NW in the city back in June.
22-year-old Braylen Smallwood of Canton and 21-year-old Trezjon Allen of Massillon remain jailed on $4 million bond each.
They’re to appear in Stark County Common Pleas Court on Friday.
Canton police say their Coordinated Response Team was investigating gang and drug activity at a location on 12th Street between Market and Cleveland Avenues when shots were fired.
One Canton officer was grazed by a bullet, but did not seek treatment.
Smallwood was arrested at the scene; Allen, a few days later.
