The Veggie Mobile provided by StarkFresh is getting some grant money from the City of Canton.
StarkFresh’s Mobile Grocery Market brings a variety of low-cost produce and fresh foods to people with mobility challenges through out the community.
It’s a federal grant for 85-hundred dollars. The mobile grocery market runs from this Wednesdsay through September 26th. They’ll stop at 11 locations on Wednesday and Thursdays.

Since 2014, approximately 5,149 individual customers have purchased 50,515 pounds of food or 283,486 servings. The Veggie Mobile travels throughout the county and delivers produce and groceries to senior housing complexes, public housing authority properties, public service centers, and permanent supportive housing sites as well areas as that are considered food deserts.
