SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Even mentioned during the presidential debate, the city of Springfield is trying to clear the record about the immigrant population from Haiti.
City leaders says they do not have a problem with people eating domestic animals.
That incorrect story may have started in Canton where a woman with mental issues faces accusations involving a cat.
But Governor Mike DeWine knows where he’s getting his information from.
So he’s inclined to believe what the city of Springfield says.
The city is dealing with traffic and healthcare issues because of the influx of as many as 15,000 Haitians.
DeWine is sending state patrol troopers to help with traffic.
