Standoff in Lawrence Township Ends Peacefully with Arrest

LAWRENCE TWP., Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A man was arrested in Lawrence Township following a two-and-a-half hour armed standoff with police at a home there Sunday night.
No shots were reported to be fired.
Township officers, Canal Fulton police and Canton Coop SWAT officers reportedly entered the back garage area and made the arrest.
Township police say the incident in the 10,000 block of Scatell Street NW started when an unwanted person came to the address with a rifle.
There were other firearms in the house.
