Stark Commissioners OK Chip and Seal, Navarre Road Projects

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Stark County commissioners are looking beyond Winter.

They approved the annual chip-and-seal program for 29 miles worth of county roads for the Summer of 2023.

The project is awarded to Ronyak Paving from Burton Ohio for $884,000.

Some of the roads to be improved include portions of Atwater and Paris Avenues as well as Beeson and Haut Streets.

There’s also a $799,000 improvement project for a section of Navarre Road.

Wenger Excavating of Dalton will do the work starting later this year.

The project will necessitate a 45-day closure.
