Stark County Donations Make it to Asheville, NC! Photos Inside
Donations Stark County residents made to the Canton Nazarene Church this past Monday and Tuesday filled a semi-truck and a 26-foot box truck. Those trucks have made it to Asheville, North Carolina to help those in need in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Former WHBC Radio Host Joe Palmisano led the effort and says he is amazed at what he’s seeing down south. He says the pictures below are those of a warehouse where all items donated by individuals are taken. It is manned by the National Guard. They unload and account for every item. Joe says it’s a testament to the power of individuals.
The man in the picture is a Captain and his team is on the overnight crew. He says they were all so kind and generous. Joe and his team grabbed a cot and slept some hours in the warehouse — ready to work Thursday. He says all day trucks from churches, schools and community centers arrive to pick up supplies for people in need. Joe’s team also took a minute to eat…..at Waffle House of course. THANK YOU STARK COUNTY!!!
