CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The $3-million-plus replacement of the Gambrinus Avenue SW bridge in Canton and Canton Township is nearly completed.

The county engineer’s office hopes to have the roadway reopened next Friday June 19.

The project was supposed to be done late last year, but the contractor ran into issues with some of the support piers below.

The bridge goes over three sets of railroad tracks and Hurford Run.
