State Sets New Tourism Record for 2023

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The state of Ohio set a new tourism record in 2023.

The Department of Development says 238 million tourists checked out one or more destinations in the state last year.

And it’s estimated they spent $56 billion dollars when they were here.

The department says a record 20-percent of those tourists spent the night in Ohio.

There are 400,000 workers in the entertainment and hospitality industry.
