Summit Sheriff: Robbers Grab Man’s Keys, Shoes

COVENTRY TWP., Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – An unusual carjacking in Coventry Township, with a 17-year-old boy from Cleveland facing charges.

The victim tells the Summit County Sheriff’s Office he was drying his car outside the Sheetz car wash on West Waterloo Road when three young men carrying guns demanded his keys and his shoes.

Akron police later located the 51-year-old man’s stolen vehicle at a gas station on Lover’s Lane.

The teen is charged with aggravated robbery.

The others escaped.
