Suspicious Package Arrives at Secretary of State’s Office

The FBI is investigating suspicious packages that have been sent to elections officials in several states- including Ohio.   Secretary of State Frank Larose’s office is one of 15 election offices nationwide to receive a suspicious package. Larose says the package had a powdery substance that investigators in other states found to be non-hazardous. The office is working with law enforcement to investigate where it came from.  There are no immediate reports of injuries or that any of the packages contained hazardous material, but they have caused evacuations in some cases.
