Former President Jimmy Carter took a nasty fall – but that didn’t stop him and former First Lady Rosalynn from volunteering in the Nashville community for Habitat for Humanity.

With Mr. Carter sporting a black eye and stitches, the couple joined country music power couple Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood in the effort and volunteered with the project. And we’re not talking “supervising.” Photos and video showed Carter drilling actively working on construction of one of the 21 homes scheduled to be built in the neighborhood.

This is the 36th Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Worker Project with the non-profit organization that works to build affordable housing. For the record, Carter turned 95-years-old last week, making him the oldest living president in U.S. history.  Whether you liked his work as President or not, there’s not denying he is one tough man!
