Tax Free Weekend Celebrated at Belden Village Mall

Belden Village Mall Marketing Director, Kari Pekar and intern, Maddie-Lynn Chrisman joined Gary Rivers Thursday morning to remind listeners that Friday begins Ohio’s Tax Free Weekend.
For 2019, the sales tax holiday will begin on Friday, August 2 at 12:00 a.m. and end on Sunday, August 4 at 11:59 p.m.
During the holiday, the following items are exempt from sales and use tax:
- Clothing priced at $75 per item or less;
- School supplies priced at $20 per item or less; and
- School instructional material priced at $20 per item or less.
Items used in a trade or business are not exempt under the sales tax holiday.
