TCSO Investigating After Child Seriously Injured in Farm Accident

WAYNE TWP., TUSCARAWAS CO., Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A two-year-old boy remained critical at Akron Children’s Hospital with injuries suffered in a farming accident in Tuscarawas County on Tuesday.

The county sheriff’s office says the youngster was in the front-loading bucket of a skid steer construction vehicle when he ended up behind the bucket and one of the tracks.

The child has spleen and kidney injuries and damage to his left arm.

The accident happened as the boy’s mother was doing gardening work on the family’s property on Cement Bridge Road NW between Dundee and Winesburg.

The child’s twin brother who was also in the bucket was not hurt.
