Teen Ruled Competent to Stand Trial in Canton Murder Case

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A 16-year-old from Canton must go to trial in adult court for a homicide in the city last summer.

Anthony Moore had pleaded ‘not guilty by reason of insanity’ to the murder charge.

He was 15-years-old when he was charged with murder

He was ruled competent to stand trial in the shooting death of 45-year-old Craig Blackshear.

Blackshear was shot and killed a year ago on the front porch of a home on 4th Street NW, a few blocks west of Water Works Park.

He was dead at the hospital.

No trial date has been set.

37-year-old co-defendant Megan Coladonato is doing a year and a half in prison on an obstructing justice conviction.
