Tornado/Waterspout Hits Leesville Lake Marina

LEESVILLE, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Seems the 2024 tornado season is never-ending.

The Pittsburgh office of the National Weather Service confirms a combination tornado/waterspout hit Leesville Lake in Carroll County on Friday afternoon.

It destroyed docks and some pontoon boats at the South Fork Marina at the lake.

After moving over the lake for a quarter-mile, the EF-zero twister lifted back into the clouds.

Maximum winds were 80 miles an hour.

No injuries.

It was one of four tornadoes confirmed that day by the Pittsburgh weather office.

The others were in Pennsylvania.
