Trial for Akron Suspected Killer of Nine Begins

AKRON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Opening arguments and a view of the crime scenes.

The trial of the Akron man accused of killing a total of nine people in two different arson fires got underway Monday.

58-year-old Stanley Ford is charged with aggravated murder and arson in the 2017 fires.

Five of the nine victims were children.

Testimony is expected to start on Tuesday.

There was a mistrial in the case last year due to COVID.
