New Sports Attendance Option for Smaller Schools

Governor DeWine is giving some smaller high school sports venues a break when it comes to that 15-percent/1500 rule for families in the stands.

He will allow school districts to request a variance on those numbers, if they can guarantee there will be 6-feet of distance and there won’t be congregating of families.

DeWine says the goal is to allow two to four family members and loved ones per athlete, band member, cheerleader, etc.

The home school is supposed to allow for seating for families of the visiting team, etc.
