Turnpike Improvement Projects at State Line
CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – If you’ve gotten caught in lines of traffic entering the Westbound Ohio Turnpike from Pennsylvania, relief is on the way.
The turnpike commission is remodeling the toll barrier to look somewhat like the large, new barrier near Warren in Trumbull County, except that only westbound traffic will pay a toll.
And E-Z Pass drivers will be able to drive through at highway speeds.
Look for the remodeling to be done in mid- to late October.
another project involves the remodeling of the toll booths there, for those still wanting to pay cash.
That should be done by the end of the year…
It’s a flat fee westbound, at $2.75 for E-Z Pass customers and four dollars for those paying cash.
Eastbound drivers no longer pay a toll there.
