Two Homes On Same Massillon Street Broken Into

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – An SUV was among items stolen during a break-in at a house in Massillon.

It happened at a house in the 1200 block of Valerie Avenue NE at around 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon.

Police say they responded after an alarm at the house was activated.

They arrived to find an open door.

Officers on road patrol were also joined by some detectives who were in the area.

They cleared the house room by room and also checked some outbuildings on the property but no suspects were still on the scene.

Police say among the items stolen from the residence was a 2014 Chevy Equinox.

Then later in the day, around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to another house in that same area of Valerie Avenue to investigate a report of another break-in.

Details of that burglary were not immediately available.
