STARK COUNTY (News Talk 1480 WHBC) -Two Stark County Organizations to Receive Extra Funding to Help Community.
The funding was approved at Monday’s meeting of the state Controlling Board, a bipartisan panel tasked with overseeing state spending.
Massillon based Heartland will receive $21,070 for patient safety improvements, while the YWCA of Canton will receive $306,000 to provide more permanent supportive housing for homeless, disabled single men and women.
The YWCA of Canton will also use this funding to provide housing for households with children, with income at or below 35 percent of the area median income in Stark County.
