The Cleveland Indians activated outfielder Tyler Naquin from the 10-day Injured List.

To make room on the roster, the Tribe placed pitcher Jefry Rodriguez on the 10-day IL with a right shoulder strain, retroactive to June 2nd.

Naquin, 28, has been on the Injured List since May 11 with a strained left calf and for the season is batting .278 (25-for-90) with 6 doubles, 1 homer and 10 RBI in 30 games thus far.  He began a six-game rehab assignment with AA Akron and AAA Columbus on May 26, batting a combined .304 (7-for-23) with 2 2B, 1 3B, 3 HR and 6 RBI (1.174 OPS).

Rodriguez, 25, left his start on Saturday, June 1 with upper back and right shoulder discomfort.  Imaging and examination from yesterday confirmed a subscapularis strain behind the right shoulder.  He will be reevaluated in two weeks and is expected to be shut down from throwing for at least two-to-three weeks. So far in 2019 with Cleveland he has posted an ERA of 4.74 over eight starts (43.2IP, 45H, 23ER, 19BB, 32SO).
