U.S. Troops in Jordan Enjoying 100 Ohio Christmas Trees

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – One hundred Christmas trees including a few from area tree farms have arrived in Jordan.

In that country, members of our armed forces, unable to come home for the holidays, will be able to enjoy some holiday cheer.

The Ohio Department of Agriculture checked the health of the state-grown trees, then FFA members, veterans and other volunteer organizations boxed them up, along with decorations.

It’s the 29th year for Operation Evergreen by the Ohio Christmas Tree Association.

Knowing that someone is thinking about you back home provides a real boost for our troops serving overseas during the holidays.
