Union Metal Resurgence is Award-Winning

CANTON, Ohio (News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – A Canton manufacturing firm that was as good as dead two years ago is alive and well, recently winning honors as Small Company Turnaround of the Year.
Union Metal Industries on Maple Avenue NE had laid off all its employees in late 2017 with the turnaround experts at American Industrial Acquisition Company bought them and turned them around.
The honors came from the Turnaround Management Association.
State and local leaders were part of the event in Cleveland since they provided tax breaks.
Canton Deputy Mayor Fonda Williams says 140 people are employed at the company.
