Veterans Honored in Ceremony at Westbrook Park

CANTON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The cold wind was not enough to stop dozens of people from gathering this afternoon in Westbrook Veterans Park to honor those who served on this Veterans Day.

While today is a day all Veterans are celebrated, Canton Mayor Tom Bernabie recognized one area man, Frank Kemp, who has gone above and beyond over the past 40 years.

Kemp is a Canton Native who served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He has since held leadership roles in numerous Veterans organizations. Today Mayor Bernabie named him the 2019 Greater Canton Veteran of the Year.
