(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – The city of Canton hopes to learn in the next month whether Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village will proceed with a purchase and renovation of the McKinley Grand Hotel.

Mayor Tom Bernabei tells Canton’s Morning News with Pam Cook that the Village is getting its financing options together, after learning that the city will provide a 15-year 75-percent tax abatement after votes Monday night by city council and the city school board.

Bernabei hints that they may need additional assistance to make it work.

The village reportedly wants to assure a 15% return on investment before moving forward.
