Voters Reject Stark Parks Levy

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Stark Parks 1.2 mill levy went down to defeat in the General Election on Tuesday.

Park district Director Bob Fonte says a recent campaign on social media against the park district may have been their downfall.

The levy was a combination 1-mill replacement and point-2-mill additional levy.

The park board must act soon if they want to go again on the March primary ballot.

The 1-mill levy expires at the end of next year.
