Wayne House Explosion, Fire Investigated as Hate Crime

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – The FBI is assisting in the investigation of what appears to be a hate crime in Wayne County, where a home occupied by a interracial couple was destroyed in an explosion and resulting fire early Wednesday morning.
Racial slurs and a swastika were painted on a detached garage and the cars inside.
The couple was not at the house because remodeling was being done.
That house on Spruce Street in the unincorporated town of Sterling.
A $5000 reward is being offered for information.
