WEDNESDAY UPDATE: Over 2,000 New Coronavirus Cases in Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News talk 1480 WHBC) – For the first time since the pandemic began, the state has recorded over 2,000 new cases of coronavirus.

The daily number for Wednesday is 2,039, with 45 of those from Stark County.

Governor Mike DeWine said Tuesday it will get worse before it gets better.

Here are the Wednesday numbers:

Wed Oct 14

Ohio: 173,665 cases (+2039),
5033 deaths (+16)

Stark: 3453 cases (+45),
178 deaths (same)

Latest State Travel Advisory

Eight states are now on Ohio’s travel advisory list, including Indiana.

Travelers are recommended to quarantine after visiting those states.

The other states are Wisconsin, Wyoming, Nevada, Kansas, Iowa, Idaho and South Dakota.
