(WHBC) – The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory that includes the Canton area.

The advisory goes from Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.

Forecasters say wind gusts of 45 to 50 miles per hour are possible, with isolated gusts of more than 50 miles per hour.

Forecasters warn that winds of that strength could bring down some trees and result in power outages.

Motorists are being warned that driving may be difficult, especially in high profile vehicles.

Meantime, a Flood Watch remains in effect until 4 a.m. Wednesday.
