Winter Safety Awareness Week in Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – We had tornadoes in Ohio in February this year.

Winter can be unpredictable, and that’s why the state’s Committee for Severe Weather Awareness wants us to be ready.

An emergency kit including a small shovel, water, food and blankets is recommended in your car, in case you get stranded in the cold, snow or ice.

And there can be extended power outages at your home as well.

Another mild Winter is predicted, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be snow and ice storms.

This is Winter Safety Awareness Week in Ohio.
