Infielder Yu Chang has been recalled from the Columbus Clippers and is in tonight’s starting lineup at third base for the Cleveland Indians.

Chang replaces Jose Ramirez on the roster, as Ramirez is on the Paternity Leave List for the next one to three days.

Chang, 23, has spent the entire year to date in Triple-A Columbus, batting .205 (16-for-78) with 3 2B, 3 HR and 18 RBI in 21 games.  He spent over two months in separate stints on the Injured List, April 17-June 17, with a sprained knuckle on his left hand (fourth/”ring” finger).  Since returning on June 18, he has batted .320 (8-for-25) with 2 2B, 2 HR and 9 RBI in 6 games (.333/.640/.973). On the year  defensively, he has appeared in 8 games at shortstop, 7 games at second base and 4 games at third base.  The native of Taitung, Taiwan is making his debut at the Major League level and is in his sixth professional season in the Cleveland organization.

Mike Clevinger returns from the IL and will get the start vs Baltimore tonight. To make room, the Tribe optioned reliever Jon Edwards to Columbus.
