AAA: 4%-Plus Increase in Travel Over July 4th Holiday

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – Lots of people are taking a big day trip, a short vacation, or perhaps the start of a long vacation over the Independence Day holiday weekend.
AAA expects 48.9 million Americans and 2.1 million Ohioans to head at least 50 miles from home sometime between July 3rd and 7th.
That’s better than a 4% increase from last year.
Most of that 2.1 million in Ohio will drive.
92,000 will fly to their destination.
