AP: Local, State Dams on Poor, Unsatisfactory List

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A local lake makes a list of dams considered to be in poor or unsatisfactory condition.

The Lake Cable dam in Jackson Township is listed as “poor”.

The Associated Press used public records requests through cooperating state and federal agencies to determine there are 1,688 dams in such condition around the country.

100 of them are in Ohio.

Also on the list from Summit County are the Nimisila and East Reservoir dams.

In Portage County, the Walborn Reservoir
