NAVARRE, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Initial construction work is beginning for the Tractor Supply distribution center in Navarre.
Ground was broken Wednesday at the site along Sterilite Street SE.
President and CEO of the Stark Economic Development Board Ray Hexamer says the Tennessee-based company could have chosen several other locations, but they wanted to come here.
The 900,000 square foot building will employ 375 people and service over 250 stores in the region once it opens next Fall.
The distribution center will have an annual payroll of $14 million; and that doesn’t include the jobs associated with the $70 million construction project.
It’s the second project at the former County Farm, with Hendrickson now up and running there.
