GREEN, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – We’ve had our share of weather in the last 24 hours.

Around two inches of rain fell in much of Stark County between Wednesday night and midnight Thursday night.

One report out of East Sparta had 2.9 inches.

There was a flood advisory up for a time for the Canton area.

The city’s fire department says they observed creeks at bankfull.

Even some snowflakes were observed during the night.

The peak wind gust at the Akron Canton Airport was 52 miles an hour at 8:47 Thursday evening.

That was enough to bring down tree branches and power lines.

There were a few thousand Ohio Edison customers affected in Summit County.

Stark County had a few hundred AEP and Edison customers out as of 5 a.m. Friday morning.
