Memorial Day 2020: Record-Breaking Heat and Stray Storms

GREEN, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – We broke a temperature record at the Akron Canton Airport on Memorial Day.

The high was 90.

That breaks the old mark of 88 set in 2012 and several earlier years.

There were flood advisories and warnings up in Summit County for some stray thunderstorms that initially developed in Stark County late in the afternoon.

Flooding was reported along several roads near Peninsula.
