SCSO: We Are Not Calling, Asking for Funds

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Stark County Sheriff’s Office says someone is using the phone to try and rip you off.

Residents are receiving calls from someone claiming to be from the office, advising that they purchase vouchers for a warrant that’s out for their arrest.

You should hang up and report such calls to your local police or the sheriff.

The sheriff’s office does not typically call and request funds.
