(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – What happens when you combine river flooding with flash flooding?

Even bigger concerns about people driving through flooded areas, that’s for sure.

Stark County EMA Director Tim Warstler says he’s seen a number of people killed trying to drive through high water during his tenure, so the message “turn around, don’t drown” is as important as ever.

Warstler believes folks who have navigated through high water before are finding that it’s harder to do this time.

You should also report flood damage to the EMA and it can be done on a computer or other device.

He says under normal conditions without rain, it takes 2 to 3 days for the Tuscarawas River to return to near-normal levels.
