CANTON, Ohio (News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – Stark County’s transition to the centralized MARCS Radio System has been so successful that more equipment is needed.

The 11 radio towers in use across the county will get a secondary audio channel, so there’s in effect no “busy signal”.

The cost is $370,000.

The county had planned for 2200 possible radios in use across the county, instead, it’s more like 3300.
