COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC and Ohio News Network) – Testimony Tuesday in the Columbus trial of the man accused of gunning down two police officers last year.

One of them was Massillon native Tony Morelli.

Now-retired Westerville Police Officer Timothy Ray was one of the first officers to respond to the scene.

He tells the court Officer Eric Joering was in real bad shape, while Officer Morelli was still able to yell and move his hands about.

Quentin Smith could get the death penalty if convicted of killing the pair.
