AAA Urging Safe Practices with Kids Headed Back to School

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – The kids are headed back to school.

Classes for most start the week after next.

AAA reminds us that it’s up to both students walking and catching buses as well as drivers to keep the roads safe.

ODOT says 13 pedestrians age 18-and-under were killed in accidents in Ohio last year.

ODOT says there’s a spike in pedestrian-related accidents at 3 p.m. each day, about the time that students are walking home from school or the bus stop.

AAA says it’s time to brush up on all your safe-driving practices, with students and buses back in the commuting mix starting soon.
