Akron Man Gets Life in Prison For Raping Child

AKRON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – An Akron man was sentenced to life in Prison this afternoon for the rape of a 7-year-old child. 56-year-old James Ferrell of Akron was found guilty of Rape and Sexual Imposition after raping a seven year old girl on June 29 of last year.
He will be eligible for parole after serving 10 years. During sentencing, Ferrell was classified as a Tier III sex offender and ordered to register every 90 days for the rest of his life should he be released from prison.
