Alliance Man Behind Bars After Threatening to Shoot His Dog

ALLIANCE (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – An Alliance man is behind bars after allegedly threatening to shoot his dog. 43 year old Robert Collins Jr. was arrested early this morning.
Police say they arrived to his home on East Oxford Street to find him drunk, holding a loaded 22 caliber long barrel revolver that they believe was stolen. They were told told on the call that Collins wanted to shoot one of his dogs.
County records show he was not permitted to have a gun due to a felony drug conviction from a year ago. He was arrested on multiple charges. No dog injuries were reported.
