At CPD, Captain Gabbard to Replace Retiring Chief Angelo Next Month

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – We now know who Canton’s next police chief will be.

Captain John Gabbard scored highest on a civil service test, meaning he will replace Chief Jack Angelo who is retiring next month.

Captain Lisa Broucker also took the test.

Captain Gabbard has been with the department for 24 years.

Chief Angelo is a 33-year veteran.
