Bigger Stark Road Project: Perry Drive Widening

PERRY TWP., Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – One of the bigger road improvement projects getting started this construction season for the Stark County Engineer’s Office is the widening of Perry Drive SW between West Tusc and Southway Street.

It’s a two-year $4.5 million project that adds a center turn lane along that entire section of the roadway.

Wenger Excavating from Dalton was the successful bidder on the project.

Stark County Area Transportation Study, Ohio Public Works and CDBG funding is paying for most of the project.

Work is essentially underway on the project with a gas line being moved at the railroad crossing north of Southway, closing the road until April 20.
